Basketball Innovations

With over a two decade's of professional leadership experience in the basketball industry I have dedicated my career to working at the intersection of leading basketball organisations, youth development, coach education, and the growth of the broader basketball ecosystem.

My journey began at grassroots level as a youth coach and referee, and later evolved into roles in basketball management and leadership, working with and leading various basketball organisations in Lithuania and worldwide. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on basketball development — from the court and the development of young players to the strategic and organisational level of the basketball sport.

Over the past 25 years, I have contributed to the development and growth of basketball organisations, including 12 years of leadership as Secretary General and later President of the Lithuanian Basketball. Throughout this journey, I have focused on building sustainable systems, strengthening basketball organisations, and creating environments that enable coaches, players, and the wider basketball community to develop.

Today, I focus on developing and implementing basketball innovations with a global perspective. My work aims to enhance coaches' knowledge and professional development, improve the effectiveness of youth development programmes, and identify and share the most effective approaches to national basketball development.

Drawing on the experience and lessons of the Lithuanian basketball ecosystem, I aim to transform proven practices into innovative solutions that can be adapted and applied in different basketball environments around the world.
